First time making granola and it turned out great! Also was super easy. On the left hand side is chocolate peanut butter and the right is peanut butter. I love chocolate, but the regular peanut butter is my favorite. I have a love/hate relationship with meal prepping and making the foods I love in healthier ways, but in the end, it’s so worth it. 1. Place dry roasted peanuts on a cookie sheet lined with tinfoil
2. Pop in the oven at 250° for about 20 minutes
3. Blend in a good processor till consistency is smooth
4. ENJOY ✨

I thought it would be good time to give you an update on how I am doing with the @fasterwaytofatloss ! #ad This program is amazing and has totally revamped the way that I look at food. It really is all about fueling your body with the whole nutrition that it needs and craves. I am also working out at least 6 days a week and seeing amazing results! Intermittent fasting along with carb cycling are my new best friends, and I have gained such confidence and will-power that I never knew I had before! 💪 Preparation is KEY, and I always plan my meals/snacks the night before. This leaves for no guesswork and I know exactly what I am eating the next day. 
Don't worry, you can still go on ✈️🚗vacation, eat out,🍕🥗 enjoy treats 🍦🍰from time to time all while maintaining this plan. That is what I LOVE about the FASTer Way to Fat Loss. It is so sustainable!

⚡️• water first! Always drink water over other liquids. If you don’t like plain water, try squeezing in some lemon or lime juice. Personally this time of the year I love chilled soda/sparkling water. It’s 100% sugar free and I find it really thirst quenching- a great swap from soft drink 👍🏼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️• if possible, start your day with exercise. Just 30 minutes a day is beneficial to your health.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️•keep only healthy whole foods in your fridge and pantry.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️• prep some healthy meals or snacks so you have something healthy to grab when hunger hits (eg veggie juices, soup, bliss balls, hummus or leftovers)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️• hydrate all day. Often when you feel hungry your actually not truly hungry. Have a big glass of water before reaching for food and see if that fixes it.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️• plan your meals for the week - this is the best way to ensure you get everything you need from the markets or store for the week and try to use recipes that utilize the same ingredients.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️• write shopping lists - this will save you wandering every aisle and landing in the choice aisle convincing yourself you need that chocolate bar 😝 - in fact, try to avoid this aisle all together!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⚡️• water first! Always drink water over other liquids. If you don’t like plain water, try squeezing in some lemon or lime juice. Personally this time of the year I love chilled soda/sparkling water. It’s 100% sugar free and I find it really thirst quenching- a great swap from soft drink 👍🏼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️• if possible, start your day with exercise. Just 30 minutes a day is beneficial to your health.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️•keep only healthy whole foods in your fridge and pantry.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️• prep some healthy meals or snacks so you have something healthy to grab when hunger hits (eg veggie juices, soup, bliss balls, hummus or leftovers)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️• hydrate all day. Often when you feel hungry your actually not truly hungry. Have a big glass of water before reaching for food and see if that fixes it.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️• plan your meals for the week - this is the best way to ensure you get everything you need from the markets or store for the week and try to use recipes that utilize the same ingredients.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️• write shopping lists - this will save you wandering every aisle and landing in the choice aisle convincing yourself you need that chocolate bar 😝 - in fact, try to avoid this aisle all together!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️• don’t go at the grocery stores when you are hungry- no matter if you have a shopping list hunger most of the time can make you shop more and not so healthy options⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

For so long I wanted to weigh less and wear a smaller size. I wanted to have a flat stomach and muscles. I wanted to run without being winded in a matter of seconds. I wanted to look in the mirror and not bash the girl looking back at me.

It’s been about 4 years since I started making myself and my health a priority. I still don’t have a flat stomach and probably never will. I still struggle with the scale and being comfortable in clothes from time to time - I’m human. BUT I’ve lost about 80 pounds, gone down 6 pant sizes and somehow along the way became a runner. Yup I’m officially one of those crazy people who pays to run with strangers.

My point is along the way I’ve gained strength and confidence in myself. I’ve learned that my comfort zone may be comfy as hell but nothing grows there. I realize that looking down and seeing a number between my feet won’t make me happy, but sweating and fueling my body with nutrient rich food daily will.

I’m right where I’m meant to be.

Pizza night!! We made it a fun affair, by making our own dough, and creating all sorts of pizzas, boys even had their own mini ones they did all by themselves (not pictured). The boys helped make the dough, roll the crust, spoon sauce and decorate the top. It's so great to be able to let them help in the kitchen.

Ingerire spesso carboidrati porta a una sorta di dipendenza da essi: i muscoli si abituano ad avere un costante apporto di zucchero durante la giornata e quindi diventano meno bravi ad ossidare i grassi. Se lo scopo è perdere grasso la strategia più efficace è quella di insegnare al corpo ad essere flessibile: in assenza di zuccheri provenienti dall’alimentazione i muscoli devono usare i grassi. Per farlo si possono utilizzare varie strategie, la più semplice probabilmente consiste nel finire l’ultimo pasto con la cena, per poi mangiare nuovamente al pranzo del giorno dopo. Oppure si può comunque tenere la colazione, ma facendola prevalentemente grassa e proteica (un esempio è yogurt greco bianco e frutta secca). Per dare dei numeri, diciamo che in questo contesto è bene tenere i grassi e le proteine relativamente alte (circa 1 gr di grasso per kg di peso corporeo, e 2,2 gr di proteine per kg di peso corporeo), e i carboidrati concentrati soltanto a pranzo e a cena.

Ovviamente va tutto contestualizzato in base allo stile di vita, a volte potrebbe essere necessario mantenere una colazione abbondante e una cena povera.
