So it only felt right to use them as my first topper here. I used the plain, hazelnut, and cornflake variations. Solid choices if you ask me😏😋

The melt didn’t turn out the best. Still figuring out how the oven worked and was kinda short on time cause the sun was setting. So couldn’t fully cook it.😕 Still was just as delicious.

I also probably looked kinda weird running around my dorm floor with a mini skillet🏃🏻‍♂️😅 I guess they all will soon get to know the weirdo with a cookie obsession🤤🍪

- 1 can chickpeas, drained (275g)
- 2 scoops vanilla protein powder (casein works best)
- 32g coconut flour (or oat flour)
- 140g unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
.
In a blender, blend together chickpeas, unsweetened applesauce, and baking powder. Remove contents from blender and fold in protein powder and coconut flour. It should come out thick and pretty dry. Spoon 1/4 recipe into a skillet (mine is 5 inches 1/2” thick) sprayed with non stick spray. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes for a perfect consistency. Top with goodies😋

Pretty simple bowl last night went with 275g of Greek yogurt mixed with 10g of c&c whey and one og chopped up Oreo, topped with 2 pieces of a Hershey’s cookies and cream bar, Oreo crumbles, crisp rice and cocoa pebbles to give a chocolate/cream cereal aspect and finished with a sugar free chocolate drizzle and a vanilla drizzle! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

My mom got me the book (harmlessly) because she knew it was something I’d be into. And of course, anything that talked about weight loss & ending binge eating was something I wanted to try.⠀

I understand the intrigue. I read that book and got that feeling I would get before I started every diet - “THIS is going to be the thing that finally fixed me. So I had heard about a meal prep service that opened up about 20 minutes over in a town to the south of me so wanted to give it a try!

All in all I was pretty impressed as the food was fresh, I ordered over the phone and they just stuck my meal in the freezer until I was able to pick it up!

I think tootsie rolls are often overlooked but they’re tasty, chocolatey and chewy. What’s not to love? I made a homemade version and my mom said they tasted like tootsie rolls so that’s a win! (She’s brutally honest lol)

Tootsie Rolls 
Ingredients:
* 1/4 cup honey * 3 Tbsp cocoa powder * 1/2 Tbsp coconut oil * 1/3 cup plus 1-3 Tbsp @vitafiberimo powder * 2 Tbsp powdered erythritol * 1 tsp vanilla 
Directions: 
1. Combine the honey, cocoa powder, vanilla and coconut oil in a small sauce pan.
2. Add in powdered erythritol and vitafiber powder (more vitafiber = harder candy) 
3. Cook over medium heat for about ten minutes. 
4. Remove from heat and pour into a silicone candy mold.
5. Place in fridge to firm quickly! 
6. Wrap them up in parchment to be cute. 
7. Enjoy!

I looked at my plate and felt my stomach grumble. Twin piles of food: cold tuna pasta and hot potatoes au gratin. This was Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL training, where you burn more than 5000 calories every day. No time for salad. Not interested in fruit.

Even as I shoveled the first spoonful of pasta into my mouth, I checked the clock. 20 minutes left of our 30 minute long chow.

Back when I was trying to qualify for a BUD/s contract, I tried to maintain a semi-healthy diet. 1 week into 1st phase, and all my classmates and I cared about was loading up on carbs as fast as humanly possible, and using the leftover chow time for one of two luxuries: resting our heads on the table and going to sleep, or standing outside in the hot California sun, letting our clothes dry and dipping cheap tobacco.

10 minutes later, my swim buddy and I were leaning against the wall facing the blue Pacific ocean that sprawled along the edge of the BUD/s training compound in Coronado CA. Savoring the rare moment of quiet, nobody said a word. The only sound was the click of lids coming off tins of Copenhagen.

Before tucking a wad of chew into my lower lip, I swallowed the last trace of cream pie and shook the sand out of my pant legs.

In a blender, blend together chickpeas, unsweetened applesauce, and baking powder. Remove contents from blender and fold in protein powder and coconut flour. It should come out thick and pretty dry. Fold in mini chocolate chips (optional but recommended) Stuff dough into fresh dates. Eat one, two, or maybe a dozen. I don’t blame you if you chose the 3rd option😜

Seriously, can #FrenchToastFriday be a thing? I missed this easy AF meal (often made for dinner). My “recipe” is too simple to even call it that. I mix together 2 parts egg whites and 1 part milk, plus a sprinkle of cinnamon and a drop of vanilla extract (1/4 scoop of protein powder works, too). Bread: low-carb 35cal Nickel’s brand found at Walmart. 🍞😍

toto maslo mi doma leží už nejaký ten mesiac🙈 často sa mi stáva, že zabudnem🤷🏻‍♀️
chuťovo výborné! ale to balenie..🙄 mala som naozaj problém dostať ho von. má tekutú a tuhú časť. vzájomne nešli zmiešať, takže v balení ostane tá tuhá, ktorá nejde vytlačiť🤷🏻‍♀️ budúci týždeň idem (konečne) do 🌲, takže tam druhé balenie nájde svoje využitie. ale inam, ako na cestovanie by som si ho už asi nekúpila. r3ptile v skle mi vyhovuje viac😊 vy ako? mali ste? chutí? vyhovuje?

This calls for a #PintParty 😆 Another new pint 👉 @valsoia_usa mint chocolate chip gelato because #clearance got me again @harristeeter 👌 The pint was a little sad looking under the lid but beneath the icy exterior, I actually had a pretty soft texture. Sort of like people in that way 👀 It had a pretty strong mint flavor stuffed with teeny chips. Not bad not bad. I topped it with a square of dark chocolate and @iheartkeenwah chunks and @nunaturals cocoa syrup 😋 
So my random thoughts you’re dying to hear: Are you surrounding yourself with “yes” men? Ie people that just tell you what you want to hear. It’s nice to hear encouragement and it’s nice to be built up and it’s really nice to dismiss criticism and advice. Maybe we pass it off as jealously or malicious intent but sometimes it’s good to humble ourselves and listen, really listen, to an outsiders critique. My mom is one of my best friends #noshame and I think a quality that makes her a great friend is that she tells me things I could work on. I know it’s coming from a good place and though it may be hard to hear at times, we all know that growth happens when we get uncomfortable. Anywayzies, happy Friday Eve! Full day of {rest day} eats 🥩🥬🍒 from Tuesday + a little reverse diet / hypertrophy style training update! So, I’m about 1.5 months into both of these things and overall feeling good and strong! I’m still progressing in the gym on the same training programming I’ve had this whole time, so that’s awesome 🙌🏻 so I’m definitely getting stronger. I did have a very weird/off week last week, but so happy those feelings are outta here - feeling much better this week!

As well, I’m seeing my body change relatively quickly which is interesting and cool - I think a lot has to do with doing a bodybuilding-focused workout regimen (shocker haha 😜). I feel a lot leaner than I have in a long time and I’m still sitting around 127lbs, so I’ve maintained since ending my cut. ✋🏻I do want to clarify maintaining weight is not my goal - my goal is to put on muscle while maintaining a leaner physique. So I don’t care about the scale weight, it’s just one indicator of progress. I’m about making improvements in those progress pictures! 🤩 Anyways now for those meals!

Okay, so I’ve been using @hemplete protein for roughly 3 weeks now, and... holy. It’s good. It’s really good.

Solubility: 10/10 I don’t think I’ve ever tried a vegan (or even whey) protein powder that’s as smooth as Hemplete. There is no chalkiness, it dissolves perfectly, and even thickens into a really nice consistency.

Ingredients: 10/10 SUPER CLEAN. It’s made using just four ingredients - organic hemp protein, sea salt, cocoa powder, and monk fruit.

Taste: 11/10. Unlike other protein powders I’ve tried, this isn’t sickly sweet and doesn’t have a weird aftertaste. I would describe the taste to be chocolatey and decadent, without being overly sweet. It also has this earthy taste (from the hemp) that I’ve really come to like!

Macros: nothing to complain here! Pretty standard - 1F/3C/14P and 2g fiber per serving.

Usability: 10/10 Some protein powders taste great in oatmeal, but they’re gross when you drink them. I’ve used @hemplete for my regular egg white oats, overnight oats, and even blended with almond milk. Loved it every time!

Price: 7/10 Okay, so this is the only reason why I’d hesitate before buying this protein powder. The price isn’t actually too bad ($17.99 USD per container), but I’m Canadian and the shipping cost is a lot. 😭 I’m actually so sad that my tub will be finished soon, because this is probably my favorite protein powder I’ve ever had.-

I made the Weight Watchers 2 ingredient pizza dough recipe which is just 1/3 cup self rising flour mixed with 1/3 cup Fage 0% Greek yogurt! Just form the dough and bake at 400 for 20 minutes😋

Then I topped it with @eatgainzdough and boom!🙌 The mini Cookie dough sweetza was born😝

I’ve been on a huge cookie dough kick recently. I brought some of my dough to college and it’s been a life saver.

I’ve been spreading it on toasted bagels and adding sliced banana for a perfect post workout snack. I’m gonna try the peanut butter flavor with that combo soon and I guarantee it will be a new permanent favorite😋

As for the sweetza, I might add some vanilla extract and sweetener to the dough to really bring out the sweetness. It definitely wasn’t bad for my first attempt though😁

Imma go to the gym now so I can eat my post workout bagel with cookie dough and banana as soon as possible😝 See ya ✌🏼

- 1 can chickpeas, drained (275g)
- 2 scoops vanilla protein powder (casein works best)
- 32g coconut flour (or oat flour)
- 140g unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

In a blender, blend together chickpeas, unsweetened applesauce, and baking powder. Remove contents from blender and fold in protein powder and coconut flour. It should come out thick and pretty dry. Top roughly 1/4 of the recipe onto your sweetza crust. Bake for an extra 5 minutes for the cookie dough to get warm or leave it cold. Devour the whole sweetza because it’s impossible not too!😜

Creamy Garlic Shrimp With Parmesan is a deliciously easy Shrimp Recipe! Coated in a rustic and buttery sauce ready in less than 10 minutes, people will think there is a hidden chef in your kitchen! Transform ingredients you most likely already have in your refrigerator into an incredible dinner/Lunch!

Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound (500 grams) shrimp, tails on or off
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
6 cloves garlic minced
1/2 cup dry white wine* or chicken broth
1 1/2 cups reduced fat cream**
1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley

Instructions
Heat oil a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season shrimp with salt and pepper and fry for 1-2 minutes on each side, until just cooked through and pink. Transfer to a bowl; set aside.
Melt the butter in the same skillet. Sauté garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Pour in the white wine or broth; allow to reduce to half while scraping any bits off of the bottom of the pan.
Reduce heat to low-medium heat, add the cream and bring to a gentle simmer, while stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to your taste.
Add the parmesan cheese and allow sauce to gently simmer for a further minute or so until the cheese melts and sauce thickens.
Add the shrimp back into the pan, sprinkle with parsley. Taste test sauce and adjust salt and pepper, if needed.
Serve over pasta, rice or steamed veg.

I have heard someone say something along the lines of “I think I'm just going to cut out carbs” in their quest to drop body fat an astronomical amount of times.

Poor old bloody carbs! They really have got the short straw over the last five years or so. People pointing the finger at them blaming them solely for their weight gain issues.

Listen to this.

If you are eating too many carbs and in a calorie surplus then you gain fat.
If you are eating too much FAT and in a calorie surplus you gain fat.
If you are eating too much PROTEIN and in a calorie surplus you gain fat.

A carb doesn't make you fat because it’s a carb. A doughnut doesn't make you fat because its a doughnut. The only thing that is making you fat is excess calories.

Get your calorie balance tipped in the right direction and get yourself in a deficit if you wish to lose body fat.

Sure, you could cut carbs to achieve that but you honestly don’t need to go to such extremes. It’s not sustainable for most people so why bother!?

But Ben… what about insulin! Providing you are in a deficit it does not matter!

I made that ☝️ Chocolate milk ice cream made in my @cuisinart ice cream maker! The creaminess is not quite where I want it but I will continue to experiment lol. I topped it with @iheartkeenwah @reeses and @nunaturals cocoa syrup 👌 
I feel like every day I just say how crazy the day was 😆 but today really was crazy and it was bad for me mentally aka I had a minor meltdown. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I had bad thoughts. But it happens. I calmed down and made cookies and ice cream. Every day is not a “good” day but every day is a day, a day closer to the next good day, a day with hope. ❤️ If you want the ice cream recipe let me know!
